Voices for every age

The choirs.

Six choirs carry a singer through the whole life of the church, from the youngest voices in pre-kindergarten to the senior Chancel Choir. Everyone, regardless of experience, is welcome.

  1. Pre-K, Kindergarten & 1st Grade

    Cherub Choir

Director: Mary Lindsey Lewis · Sundays, 9:30–10:00 a.m.

A preparatory choir for the youngest singers. The focus is on developing a love for music and singing in a developmentally appropriate way through movement and games. Each December the Cherub Choir presents the Nativity Program, and the children sing as part of Children’s Sabbath and Scout Sunday.

  2. 2nd through 5th Grade

    Children’s Covenant Choir

Director: Dr. Katie Woolf · Sundays, 9:30–10:00 a.m.

The Covenant Choir welcomes all children who love to sing. Rehearsals focus on having fun while learning church music and musical concepts, building skills and confidence as the children lead worship several times a year, including Lessons and Carols during Advent, the Christmas Eve service, and Children’s Sabbath.

  3. 6th through 12th Grade

    Youth Choir

    Director: Wes Griffin · Sundays, 5:00 p.m.

The Youth Choir sings a wide variety of sacred classic, folk, and modern anthems, making extensive use of accompanying instruments. Singers learn worship leadership and advanced choral disciplines, perform often in services, give concerts, and go on summer choir tours.

  4. 6th through 12th Grade

    Youth Handbell Choir

    Director: Michael Dauterman · Wednesdays, 5:00–6:00 p.m.

Formed in 2020 out of a desire to keep making music together, the handbell choir welcomes youth into an exciting and communal form of music-making. Ringers learn to read music, ring handbells, and use extended techniques while preparing music for worship through the year. Everyone, regardless of experience, is welcome.

  5. Youth through Adult

    Primi Cantores

    Director: Michael Dauterman · Sundays, 8:00 a.m.

A smaller chamber choir that sings for the 8:30 a.m. worship service, blessed to sing in the rich acoustics and beautiful architecture of The Little Chapel. Everyone, regardless of experience, is welcome to sing in this group.

  6. College through Senior Adult

    The Chancel Choir

Director: Michael Dauterman & Käthe Wright Kaufman · Wednesdays, 7:00–9:00 p.m.

A mix of amateurs and professional musicians, the Chancel Choir offers high-quality musical leadership at the 11:00 a.m. service while staying warm and welcoming to all ability levels. The choir presents special concerts for the Atlanta community, and Men’s and Women’s Ensembles are formed from it for offerings through the year.
